Kiphire, June 27 (MExN): Two-day farmers’ training on focus horticultural crops under ‘Aspirational District’ Kiphire began at Hopongkyu Memorial Hall here on June 27.

The programme is sponsored by Central Institute of Horticulture, Medziphema and organised by the district horticulture office, Kiphire.

Horticulture, he noted, is an intensive subset of agriculture and is socially important because it improves how we live as well as repair the environment and personal aesthetics, the DIPR report stated.

The DC also encouraged the farmers to avail of the opportunity which the Government has offered for the development of the district.
