Training on large cardamom plantation

Peren, February 10 (MExN): One day training on large cardamom plantation under Convergent Programme 2015-16 with the Rural Development Department was conducted on February 9 at Jalukie, Peren. More than fifty farmers participated in the said training. Eyongol Natso, DHO Peren chaired the programme, who also welcomed the participants. Meanwhile, Imtirenla, Project Director, DRDA delivered the keynote address to the participants and urged the farmers to sincerely devote their time in their project works for their own benefit. The main resource person was Senti Longchar, Horticulture Officer, who spoke on the importance of cardamom sucker treatment with bio-agents like pseudomonas and selection of varieties according to the altitude of the project location. The programme was co-ordinated by Dileu Nsa, Horticulture Officer, Peren.
