Dimapur, February 3 (MExN): A Training of Trainers on ‘Long lasting Insecticide Net’ (LLIN) was held at District Vector Borne Office on February 2.
Dr S. Marina Yaden was the resource person where she explained in detail the use of medicated bed nets and the process of distribution of the LLIN in the District. Depending upon the prevalence of Malaria the LLIN will be distributed in different villages and Blocks by the ASHAs.
The Distribution will start after the ASHAs are trained and a part of the distribution process there will be a formation of a committee in each Village consisting of Village Council Chairman, HCMC chairman, ANM/ ASHAs, a Pastor and Surveillance workers for distributing the LLIN which will be intimated by their respective SMO/ MO incharge.
The training was attended by Malaria Inspectors, Surveillance workers, District Community Mobiliser, Block ASHA coordinators and staffs from District Vector Borne office.
