The resource persons along with the participants during the training on climate change and human health held in Phek on April 20.

Phek, April 20 (MExN): The Integrated Disease Surveillance Program (IDSP) under CMO office, Phek conducted training on climate change and human health at CMO conference hall, Phek on April 20.
The training was conducted for all the Medical Officers (MO) so as the health facilities will be prepared and manage any Heat- related illnesses in the district, stated a press release received here.
The resource persons Dr Shevo Hiese, DSO and Dr Limatoshi, Epidemiologist talked about the management of climate change, heat waves and heat alert among the vulnerable areas and groups.
Management of heat-related stress, clinical symptoms and treatment were emphasized. The other training topics include management of heat illness in vulnerable groups & emergency preparedness for health facilities.
The resource persons also presented on the monitoring, surveillance and reporting on Heat related illnesses data on the IHIP Portal which need to be reported on daily basis.
