KIPHIRE, AUGUST 29 (MExN): One day training on fruit beverages making was held at Kiphire on August 29 at Hopongkyu Memorial Hall, Kiphire. The training was organised by the Green Land Society, a resource organisation under DUDA, Kiphire. The training was attended by 15 SHGs from Kiphire urban and was trained on making squash and fruit juices out of mango and pineapple. 

Addressing the participants, Longdiba L. Sangtam, ADC and Chairman, DUDA Kiphire stressed on the importance of SHGs and their active roles. He emphasized on the rich resources and products of the district and encouraged the trainees to make use of it. While appreciating the organizers, he also encouraged the participants to learn better from the trainers and multiply the products.

Apila Sangtam, Coordinator and Imtilong Jamir, Facilitator and Master Trainer from YouthNet trained the participants in making squash and fruit beverages. They both encouraged the trainees to learn well so that their products can be demanded by consumers. Temong Y Tikhir chaired the program and welcome note was delivered by Jongyanthong, Chairman GLS.
