One-day training on People’s Plan Campaign (PPC) for preparation of Gram Panchayat Development Plans (GPDP) for village functionaries for the year 2024-25 was conducted in Wokha on January 27.
The training programme was organized by the State Institute of Rural Development at VDB Hall, Wokha.
The main purpose of this one day training programme was to intensify GPDP implementations and discussion for development plans for villages and blocks with the people.
Resource Person Incharge took up turns to address on various GPDP topics. Nodal officer, RGSA, SIRD Dr Juthsutho Phoji took up a session on Introduction to Peoples Plan Campaign (PPC) and Thematic GPDP. He addressed that the GPDP was introduced in the year 2018, revitalized in the year 2023 and now is set culminate in the year 2026. He also highlighted the gathering on the roles of GPPFT members, Nodal officers of RD & Line departments and Special Gram Sabha Process Flow.
During the next session, Senior Lecturer, SIRD Dr Rokosunuo Kintso spoke on Role of facilitators in thematic GPDP, Line departments in thematic GPDP where crucial development issues, important needs and priorities were highlighted.
Activities on data porting into GPDP and eGramSwaraj portals were also discussed.
The training culminated successfully with the active participation of the seven RD Blocks consisting Wokha, Wuzhuro, Bhandari, Changpang, Sanis, Chukitong, and Ralan.
