Training on routine immunization manual held in Mokokchung

Mokokchung, March 19 (MExN): District level training on routine immunization manual for health workers was held at conference hall office of Chief Medical Officer Mokokchung on March 19.

Presenting on the overview of the training, Dr Imkong Temsu Longchar, SIO, Directorate of Health and Family Welfare, Kohima stated that in order to achieve 100 percent coverage on vaccination, health workers should be adaptive and develop innovations as per community requirements. This was pointed out in a press release from the CMO, Mokokchung. Dr Longchar advised the trainees to concentrate on zero dose vaccination. He emphasized on the importance of Head count Survey, uploading and reporting.

Dr Sentizungla Marina Yaden, CMO Mokokchung gave the welcome address. Dr Limanaro DPO (UIP & RCH), Dr Mhechekhro Mero Consultant WHO (RRT) and Achila C VCCM were the resource persons. They discussed the topics on Roles and Responsibilities of Health Workers in Routine Immunization, RI Micro planning, safe Injection Practice, IPC and BMW, Conducting RI session and AEFI, Cold Chain and U-Win and VPD surveillance.

Trainees were made to perform pre and post test. The training is intended for CHOs, GNMs, LHVs and ANMs will continue till March 20, for Senior Medical Officers, Medical Officers and DPMUs.
