Mokokchung, December 13 (MExN): Training on SNC towards TB free status was held at IDSP conference Hall IMDH, Mokokchung on December 13, with Dr Collins, WHO consultant, NTEP, Dr Apichetla, APO NTEP, and Nochetla, PPM Coordinator, NTEP as resource persons.
According to a press release, Dr Toshila Jamir, DTO Mokokchung welcomed the resource persons and trainees and thanked them for sparing their valuable time for the training. She further urged all the attendees to make this training a productive one, and join hand in hand to eliminate TB by 2025.
During the training, Dr Apichetla, Assistant Programme Officer, NTEP gave a brief presentation on the overview of NTEP and TB while Nochetla, PPM coordinator, NTEP spoke on the topic ‘Sub-National Certificate of progress towards TB Free Status.’
Dr Collins, WHO Consultant, presented a PowerPoint presentation on District level annual survey for verification of SNC of TB elimination efforts.
The training was attended by volunteers from identified vulnerable villages/wards, selected by Central TB Division and all NTEP staffs of Mokokchung District and it concluded with vote of thanks from Dr Toshila Jamir, the release stated.
