Longleng/Kohima, February 3 (DIPR): The Deputy Commissioner & District Election Officer of Longleng, John Tsulise Sangtam has notified the list of the polling personnel in connection with the conduct of ensuing election to the 13th Nagaland Legislative Assembly.
The first phase of training for the Presiding Officers and 1st Polling Officers will be held on February 7 at GHSS auditorium in Longleng at 11: 00 am, while for the 2nd Polling Officers, 3rd Polling Officers and the 4th Polling Officers, training will be held on February 8 at EBRC Hall, Longleng at 11: 00 am.
The second phase of training for the Presiding Officers and 1st Polling Officers will be held on February 13 at GHSS auditorium at 11: 00 am, while for the 2nd Polling Officers, 3rd Polling Officers and the 4th Polling Officers, it will be held on February 13 at EBRC Hall, Longleng at 11: 00 am. Therefore, the DC & DEO has directed all the Heads of Departments/Offices to depute all the officials under their jurisdiction to attend the election training/duties without fail. Any department officials failing to attend the election training/duties shall be prosecuted under the election law, it was warned.
Meanwhile, the DC & DEO of Kohima, Rajesh Soundararajan (IAS) has informed all concerned government employees who have been drafted for election duty that the first round of training for Presiding Officers, 1st Polling Officers & Additional Polling Officers for VVPAT will be held on February 6. For 2nd Poling Officers and 3rd Polling Officers, the training will be held on February 7 at Razukhrie Government Higher Secondary School, Kohima at 10:30 am. He therefore directed all the polling personnel concerned to attend the training compulsorily. Necessary action will be taken against the absentees as per the Representation of the People’s Act 1950 & Conduct of Election Rules 1961, he added.
