Kohima, January 29 (MExN): The Directorate of Economics and Statistics, Nagaland organised a one-day training programme on ‘survey of employment, unemployment, skill and migration in Nagaland’ at the Directorate Conference Hall on January 29.
The objective of the survey is to collect sub-state level data on human resource utilization in the state, and to contribute towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), stated a press release received here.
Neidilhou Keditsu, Director, in his inaugural address highlighted the overview of the survey, and encouraged the officials of the Department to sincerely work towards generating quality statistics on the same. During the technical sessions, while Vikosieto Krose, Deputy Director, presented on the meaning and concepts related to the survey, Dr Tumbenthung Y Humtsoe, Economics and Statistics Officer, presented on survey methodology.
Simon Kiutan, Economics and Statistics Officer, chaired the inaugural session, and Neisatuo Puro, Additional Director, gave the closing remark. Officials from all the Districts Economics and Statistics Offices (DESOs) participated in the training programme.
