Peren, January 18 (DIPR): The Fisheries Department conducted five days training programme on “prospects of aquaculture and fisheries for grassroot levels” from January 11 at Beisumpui village, Peren District which concluded on January 15. The training was funded under NFDB during 2015-2016. The resource persons included SDFO Jalukie, Dory Yanthan and her staff Haimia FD and Temjensoaba FD who spoke on various topics including Pond Management composite fish farming, Intergrated framing planning and economics comprehensive demonstration on feeds preparation plankton, water testing fertilization and liming. At the concluding programme the SDFO urged Beisumpui and neigbouring village fish farmers to give best interest and priority for aquaculture developing sustainability as being potential areas for fisheries sector. Altogether 20 fish farmers from New Beisumpui and Bongkolong village participated in the training where they expressed deep gratitude to SDFO Jalukie and the Department for organizing the programme.
