Training on SSA activities at Sechu Zubza underway

A community mobilization & sensitization training on all the SSA activities including composition, tenure of SMC, roles and responsibility of SMC, civil works, RTE Act 2009 & state rules, inclusive education, special training, quality, computer aided learning, Swacch Bharat, social audit, Pedhe Bharat Badhe Bharat , media, MIS, ShaGun, accounting & financial matters etc. got underway today at EBRC Sechii- Zubza under the aegis of District Education Officer-cum- District Project Co-ordinator DMA, SSA Kohima.  

Gracing the inaugural session as the guest of honour, Kohima Deputy Commissioner Rajesh Soundararajan, IAS, called upon the teachers and community leaders to be truthful and sincere in their approach and work together to promote education system, especially government schools in the state.  

He also called upon the teachers of the respective schools to set a target and put performance indicator into practice.  

Also stressing on the need to indentify the strength as well as shortcoming, Soundararajan called upon all the concerned to re-dedicate themselves towards improvement of the education system.  

A collective responsibility is needed to improve the performance of government school, he said.  

Stating that management of the school is now empowered to the community through the concept of communitization, he said “There should not be any compromise as far as education is concern.”  

Soundararajan, who is also ex-officio chairman of District Mission Authority, SSA Kohima also asked the Village Education Committee (VEC) not to show any partiality.  

Rokovolhulie Angami, Sub Divisional Education Office Kohima and Chairman EBRC urged upon the teachers to give their best for children education.  

Give you best and let the parents understand your dedication and commitment towards the growth of education,” he said.  

He also stressed on the need to furnish a factual statistics to the concerned authority based on UDISE format.  

“Let us use the exact number without any manipulation,” he said. He also called upon the teachers to make classroom a joyful learning. Further, he urged the teachers to be sincere in their duty “as our job is a noble job and required by the society.”  

Rokoneinuo Nakhro, project assistant DMA SSA Kohima assured Kohima DC that “we will strive together towards betterment of our children.”  

Earlier, the inaugural session was chaired by Lovilie Vakha, co-ordinator EBRC Sechu Zubza while keynote address was delivered by Thongsenlo, assistant district co-coordinator DMA, SSA Kohima.  

This training programme will go on till January 30.
