Training on sustainable eco-friendly products manufacturing held

Kuhuboto, October 31 (MExN): Nagaland State Rural Livelihoods Mission, Block Mission Management Unit Kuhuboto conducted training of trainers on sustainable eco-friendly products manufacturing on October 25 and 26 at Old showuba Village.
Block Development Officer cum Block Mission Manager, BMMU Kuhuboto, Phoishe Sema in his short speech stated that the main objective of the training was to help the SHG members in earning sustainable income in every household and also Kuhuboto Block being officially declared ‘Plastic Free Block’ on October 2, there was a need for alternative to plastic bags which was paper bags.
Therefore, he urged the participants to learn the entire process thoroughly and disseminate the same to the remaining SHG in their respective village. He thanked the Nagaland State Rural Livelihoods Mission, BMMU Kuhuboto team for organizing such kinds of training to uplift the women folk of villages and also requested the Block Program Manager to organize such trainings.
Nagaland Packaging Solutions led by Myanthung Ngullie, taught the participants on making paper bags, envelopes, plates & bowls through Banana Leaves & fibre ropes through Banana Stem, Imtisunep Longchar Director of Ilandlo spoke about Online Marketing, importance of Good Packaging & labeling, importance of obtaining FSSAI code for their products and encouraged the SHGs to come forward and start selling Online for better market Linkage.
The training was attended by Community Cadres, VLO leaders and Block Staff. It was chaired by Chenton Konyak, Block Program Manager, BMMU Kuhuboto.
