DIMAPUR, JANUARY 29 (MExN): Organized by Community Development Foundation under the banner of North Eastern Development Finance Cooperation Limited (NEDFi) CSR Initiative project, a training on Swine Heath Management cum Beneficiaries Interaction Program’ was held on January 28 at Toulazuoma village, Dimapur.
The program was held with the objective to inculcate comprehensive knowledge on swine heath care management and to draw out insight from field based experiential knowledge on managing pig rearing activity from among the project beneficiaries.
Resource persons were Dr. Hiabe Zeliang (Deputy Director (AH), Rev. Subong Ao (President Pig Farmer’ Association Dimapur), John (Para vet). 52 participants attended the program.
Official representatives from NEDFi, Richa (Branch Manager, Dimapur), Atono, NEDFi Dimapur Branch and K. H. Henry (Director CDF) also attended the training. It may be noted that under NEDFi CSR Initiative project, 92 beneficiaries have been given support with 2 piglets each at Toulazuoma village. The project was launched on February 8, 2013, with the aim to enhance supplementary earnings of low income families for meeting their livelihood needs and to promote pig rearing entrepreneurs in the village.
