Training on Unified District Information System for Edu held

A day long programme on sensitization training on student data collection in sync with U-DISE day under Kiphire district was held today with Akum State MIS, Kohima as resource person at Hopongkyu Memorial Hall which was attended by headmasters, principals and communitized VEC members.  

State MIS member, Akum while highlighting about Unified District Information System for Education (U-DISE) informed the gathering to give correct information as Child Tracing System will be introducing very soon and if wrong information is provided one cannot change till the child passes out secondary level.  

The resource person also gave detail information on the filling up of the U-DISE format and disclosed that in the past error in providing information has also come across. He asked the gathering to take it seriously and to be very careful in handling it.  

Deenabandhu Panda, DEO while speaking at the meeting pointed out that the State Education Department is facing lot of problem as the information provided by the schools in many cases are wrong. The DEO also encouraged the gathering to be very careful as the data collected will help in planning for present as well as for the future.  

The DEO also said that with RTE the enrolment in lower primary seems to be good but when it comes to upper primary and secondary most of the schools is having except few has poor enrolment.  

He also cautioned that if wrong information is provided stern action will be taken and the authorities will dealt seriously.  

Sethricho ADC, SSA, DMA while welcoming the gathering express gratitude to the resource persons and the gathering for attending the program and also express hope that the training will be beneficial to the teaching facilities while filling up the form.
