Mokokchung, July 10 (MExN): Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA) Changtongya block in collaboration with Grace Society Community Based Rehabilitation Forum (CBRF) conducted training on value addition of seasonal fruits for Village Disabled People's Organization (VDPO) leaders on July 10 at Changtongya Town.
The resource persons were Temsutola Jamir, Block Techonology Manager (BTM) Changtongya block and Moaienla, Technical Officer (TO), KVK, Mokokchung.
Altogether, 31 leaders of VDPO and 6 staffs, including the Director of Grace Society CBRF attended the training, informed a press release from Grace Society CBRF coordinator, Chubawati.
The objective of the training was to teach the persons with disability how to preserve and make various edible items from the seasonal fruits and vegetables available in their area, and thereby contributing to the society as well as enhance their income for livelihood.
The training included making tomato sauce, mango and green chilly pickles and pineapple squash.
The director of Grace Society CBRF thanked the ATMA officials for conducting the training at the grassroots level, thereby encouraging the differently abled section of the society in becoming self-reliant as well as contributing to the society as a whole.
