Attendees of the Transformation Crusade held at the Khouchiezie Local Ground.
Kohima, April 24 (MExN): The first day of the seven day transformation crusade under the theme “Arise and shine” saw more than 4,000 people from all walks of life throng the Khouchiezie, Local Ground. Delivering the word of God to the congregation, Rev. Zotuo Kiewhuo, Senior pastor and founder of Koinonia Baptist church while calling upon the congregation to open their hearts to the word of God quoting from Isaiah 60:1, spoke on the need for Christians to have the light of Christ in them, so that they could in turn be a light to the people who were caught in the pangs of darkness.
Citing examples on the rise of evil today he also spoke on how people were confused about Faith and religion and substituting Christ with their carnal desires."Today Christians need Jesus' light to shine on this earth. Many religions and wrong worshipers have emerged claiming themselves to be the ultimate religion but nothing can defeat the power of the cross," he said. A healing service was also held by the pastor where many people claimed of being healed.
The programme was chaired by Rev Dr Vevo Phesao, Pastor of the Chakhesang Baptist Church Ministers’ Hill Kohima, while Avi Yongo and friends led the Praise and Worship.
