Treat our complaints as closed chapter: YAVSU

Dimapur, October 21 (MExN): The Y Aunru Village Students’ Union today said that the works on the Shamatore to Chessore road is being undertaken, and therefore urged the Executive Engineer of DUDA not to accept any more complaints against the road and treat any further complaints by the Students body as a ‘closed chapter’.

A letter to the DUDA Executive Engineer by the YAVSU President, Shitopong Yimchunger and Executive Chairman, C John Yimachunger, said that the construction works being undertaken at the stretch of seven kilometer to twenty-one kilometer road, which is located at Shamatore to Chessore road ‘is being done’. However, due to the heavy downpour this summer, the remaining work from 22 to 26 kilometers Y Auner sector could not be continued.

The release informed that after a discussion with the “duly concerned” on September 7, the bulldozer is to be redeployed during the dry season for completion of the remaining works.

In this connection, the YAVSU requested the Executive Engineer to treat all complaints by ‘vested individuals’ who are using the name and writing pad of the Union as ‘null and void’ as they are unofficial.

“As the President and Executive Chairman of the Union we urge your kind authourity not accept any more complaint arising in what so ever manner unless they are being done so collectively,” the letter stated and added that in case of any further complaint against the road by the Students’ body of Y Auner village, the letter requested the Executive Engineer of DUDA to treat ‘their subject as a closed chapter’.
