The world today is taken away by the trends of life. The fast moving trend is sweeping the life of the people all around the globe, especially the younger generation. Most of the younger generation of today look forward to being just TRENDY. They basically are obsessed to the new life of being just trendy and fashionable. They wanted to be the first to follow the trend as if there is a prize for it. The notion of Trend and fashion can be seen as one of the fastest thing when we look particularly in our Naga Society. Young people look up and follow the trends and fashion as a daily activity and a part of the movement.
Trends basically are something that is present in vogue. It specifically refers to clothing, hairstyle, shoes, phones and such other accessories. There are wide varieties and types of trends all times all around the world. Clothing in particular is an arena that different people view and is followed by a large number of individuals. Presently people like to dress more fashionable to present their self expression and affection. In modern times clothing has become an integral part of life as “It is an instant language and is a gift that you present to the world without having to speak”.
Trends have become an essential part of today’s generation. Everyone likes being trendy and fashionable among a particular group or a society. It has become a sole ingredient to their taste of life. Young generation today look upon celebrities and set their trends accordingly. Celebrities today therefore, essentially become the trend setters to their followers and viewers. Every individual has a fashion idol and is always inclined towards dressing like that person. The psychology of young people today has swept away and clouded by the fashions that come from outside state. The Korean trend for example, has deeply impacted the lives of almost every young Nagas. The Korean trend has not only influence the teenagers but also a child through their songs, movies, fashion, etc. The appearance of the foreign face and the impact of the technology have also made them more perfect and eye catchy.
Trends continually changes with each passing time and season, however it comes back later in a modern and trendy way. Fashion trends keep changing and each different change has its unique characteristics, just like the article, “how fashion changes throughout the years” as stated by Natalia. Some of the fashion trends today have similar features and is an inspiration of the earlier trends of the past years. People who dress accordingly to the latest fashion trends are considered as trendy and those who seek to stick with one are known to be outdated. Thus the following fashion and trends have already become a momentum of the society.
Today in Naga society, most of the young people follow the trend through the platform of social media and social gatherings. It has not only changed the concept of their physical outlook but also their emotions. The way they talk, walk, interact, dress, etc has been changing from time to time with the change of trends. Many young people wanted to be trend setters and act like a fashion ambassador regardless of brands. The abundance inflow of foreign goods into Naga society has made it easier for the youngster to follow the trend and fashion of their choice. There is a need to look at the positive impact of the changing trends and fashion too taking the mindset of the young people and the new trends into consideration.
