KOHIMA, OCTOBER 28 (MExN): The Nagaland Congress Party (NCP) has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of former minister TA Ngullie, a political leader who served the 37 A/C constituency for a record seven terms. In a tribute, NCP President Vanthungo Odyuo honoured Ngullie's legacy, describing him as one of the tallest figures in Naga politics.
Odyuo reflected on Ngullie’s long and impactful political career, highlighting his humility, approachability, and dedication to serving the people. Throughout his tenure, Ngullie held several important portfolios, including that of Finance Minister, earning respect from colleagues across party lines.
The NCP president extended condolences to Ngullie's wife, children, and family, acknowledging the profound loss felt by many. “As this darkness descends upon his loved ones, may our Lord grant them peace, comfort, and strength during this difficult time,” he added.
NPF: Naga People’s Front (NPF) has extended condolences on the passing of former minister TA Ngullie. Throughout his career, Ngullie committed himself unwaveringly to the service of the people and the development of Nagaland. His impactful contributions to the socio-political landscape of the state have left an enduring legacy that will inspire generations, stated a press note issued by Apong Pongener, President, NPF. “Our thoughts and prayers remain with the bereaved family during this time of sorrow. May his soul rest in eternal peace,” he added.
NDPP: Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) President, Chingwang Konyak in a condolence message for TA Ngullie said, “I had the opportunity to be closely associated with him since the first NLA and as he served over four decades and headed various important departments it was quite clear of his visionary leadership which extended beyond state politics and which is a valuable legacy he leaves behind.” Konyak said his significant contributions as a gentle, dedicated leader and a pioneer leaves an indelible mark in the history and progress of the state. “The rank and file of the NDPP joins me and my family in conveying our heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family members and pray that the Almighty grant solace and comfort at this hour of grieve. We pray that the departed soul rest in eternal peace,” he added.
