
KOHIMA, OCTOBER 27 (MExN): Condolences poured in from various quarters over the passing of TA Ngullie, former Minister of Nagaland Legislative Assembly including from Imkong L. Imchen, Advisor for Information & Public Relations, and the Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC), Ex-PAN and LJP (RV).
In a condolence message, Imkong L. Imchen expressed profound sorrow over Ngullie’s demise, describing him as a "proven Naga leader" and a "humble public servant." Imchen noted Ngullie’s illustrious political career, which included being elected seven times to the Nagaland Legislative Assembly and holding several significant ministerial portfolios. "His untold services to the Naga people reflect a deep commitment to their welfare," Imchen stated, emphasizing that Ngullie was respected across political boundaries.
Imchen further highlighted that TA Ngullie's absence would be felt keenly, marking him as one of the tallest leaders of his era. He extended heartfelt condolences to Ngullie’s family and prayed for his soul to rest in eternal peace. Hailing from Mungya Village, TA Ngullie passed away on October 27, 2024, at Chümoukedima. He had a distinguished tenure as the Finance Minister and represented the 37 Tyui A/C in Wokha District multiple times.
The Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) also released a condolence message mourning Ngullie's passing. The Communications Department of the NPCC characterized him as a "distinguished leader" whose rich legacy of dedicated public service will be deeply missed. "His contributions to the people of Nagaland will forever be remembered," the message stated. In this time of grief, the NPCC extended heartfelt condolences to Ngullie's bereaved family, wishing that his noble soul may rest in eternal peace.
The Ex-Parliamentarians Association of Nagaland (Ex-PAN) said it has lost a father figure and a senior advisor whose wisdom and guidance will be sorely missed in the days and years to come. “To lose such a senior member with his vast experience and wisdom is a great loss to the Ex-PAN family and will undoubtedly leave a huge vacuum in our organization,” it added. The Ex-PAN conveyed its heartfelt and deepest condolences to Mrs Sanuo Ngullie and members of the bereaved family.
The Lok Janshakti Party Ram Vilas Nagaland also extended condolence and heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved family members of TA Ngullie. “I am pained and saddened to learn the demise of the legend politician T A Ngullie Ex. Minister who was a 9th time consecutive elected MLA,” LJP (RV) state president S Richard Humstoe stated in a condolence message.
