Dimapur, December 13 (MExN): A new music video titled “Tring Tring – Marks of War”, performed by artist Azi Rudy, has been released as a heartfelt tribute to the late Lamtsala Sangtam, the iconic vocalist of the band Purple Fusion.
Inspired by a Sangtam Naga folk tale, the project derives its name from the calls of birds traditionally believed to echo through forests following a warrior’s successful return. The video visually interprets this folklore, weaving themes of courage, identity, and cultural memory while engaging with contemporary realities.
Through symbolic storytelling and striking imagery, the production bridges past and present, examining the evolution of concepts like honour and bravery within Naga society.
The video has been directed by Macnivil, with production handled by Nestvibe Studio. The accompanying song was recorded, mixed, and mastered at The Kitchen Studio. Shooting was conducted with venue support from the RCEMPA Hall in Jotsoma.
“Tring Tring – Marks of War” stands as a cultural tribute, aiming to honour the legacy of Lamtsala Sangtam and the evolving narrative of Naga music.
