The 30th session of the United Sangtam Likhum Pumbji (USLP) got underway today under the theme 'Truth Triumph' with Muthingnyuba, MLA hoisting the flag and inaugurating the three day session.
Speaking at the program, the MLA remembered the history of the program and said the vision of the organization is to safeguard the identity of the community and also to live in harmony with neighbors.
The MLA further appealed: “we should work hard and give our best in all the activities that we are involved for the welfare of the community.”
Impressing on the need for strong foundations in building socio economic activities, the MLA said times are changing and people need to equip themselves to achieve self reliance. He also appealed the members to be dedicated, sincere and committed for the upliftment of the community.
Kikumsangla ADC Longkhim, who also spoke on the occasion called upon the USLP to bring different communities closer.
Advising the gathering, Seili, Head Gb, Amahator advised the gathering to learn in harmony with each other and also appealed the leaders to be visionary. He also recalled the struggle they have undergone for the welfare of the society and community. “With the change of time, integrity and honesty is fast losing,” he lamented and advised the gathering to uphold those principles.
