Kohima, May 8 (MExN): The Tsogin Range Youth Organization (TRYO) comprising 8 villages under Tseminyu district held its 1st consultative meeting on May 7 at Logwesunyu village community Hall.
The newly elected executive members along with the unit youth organisations, drawing its diligence expressing on the untapped talents bank for sports among the youth where sports are seen as visible and lucrative careers rather than hobbies and recreational activities.
In this, it felt the need to have a range tournament to promote professional sports career to aspiring sportspersons.
The meeting lauded Yhunshalo Kemp for being the highest scorer in the recent 22nd Dr T Ao Trophy (Inter-District Football Championship) held at Mokokchung.
Noting the importance of conservation and protection of wild life species and their habitats and to restore, protect and enhance natural ecosystems, it resolved that “any individual found in cognizable offense in illegal shooting, trapping, or taking of game, fish or plants under Tsogin jurisdiction will be liable and impose firm penalty.”
