Tseminyu, April 19 (MExN): The monthly District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) meeting of Tseminyu was held on April 17 at the DC’s conference hall under the chairmanship of MLA and DPDB Chairman Ar Jwenga Seb.
The meeting began with a review of the previous minutes. The board deliberated on the registration of Phenshunyu Lojvu Cultural Troupe and forwarded the proposal to the concerned department for approval.
It also discussed the Chief Minister’s Health Insurance Scheme (CMHIS) and the Nagaland salary package, with a brief status report presented to inform heads of departments (HoDs) and drawing and disbursing officers (DDOs) for necessary action.
On the proposal for construction of an RD Office at Chunlikha, the chairman said the matter had been pending for over a decade and urged members to recommend it to the government. The proposal was accordingly forwarded.
The board further deliberated on documentation of government land in the district to avoid confusion between landowners and authorities and to create awareness on government-owned land.
Issues relating to posting of a dedicated head of office in the district, review of the Tseminyu District Green Initiative and augmentation of power supply were also discussed.
