Tseminyu, October21 (MExN): The District Executive Force (DEF), Tseminyu, observed Police Commemoration Day at the Superintendent of Police's office premises on Wednesday, paying tribute to police personnel who sacrificed their lives in the line of duty.
Addressing the gathering, SP Tseminyu Talisunep Imchen said the day was not merely an occasion for mourning but also an opportunity to remember the spirit of selfless sacrifice of police martyrs, renew the pledge to serve the people, and uphold the integrity of the nation.
He stated that 186 police personnel across India had laid down their lives while maintaining law and order, preventing anti-social activities and countering terrorism.
Imchen paid tribute to the brave police personnel who sacrificed their lives to protect the country's integrity and security, a DIRP report stated.
