Tseminyu SDPDB stresses on govt college

Tseminyu, September 19 (DIPR): The Sub-Divisional Planning & Development Board (SDPDB) of Tseminyu has discussed the importance of opening government college in Tseminyu sub-division.  

At the monthly meeting of the board on September 16 at ADC conference hall here, ADC of the sub-division, Vikhweno Meratsu informed the house about the official communications going on for opening of government college in Tseminyu.  

During deliberations on the matter, Principal of GHSS Tseminyu, Khwetso Richa said that there are six Government High Schools and four private schools as feeder schools for establishment of government college in Tseminyu sub-division. The Principal therefore maintained that opening of government college in Tseminyu is “most deserving.”  

The ADC also highlighted the initiatives taken by Rengma Students' Union and Rengma Hoho demanding government college in the sub-division. A representation was submitted to the Governor of Nagaland, PB Acharya on December 17 during the 38th General Conference of Rengma Students' Union at Sendenyu Village. The house therefore resolved to recommend the matter to the higher authorities for consideration.  

Agenda from Agri and allied sectors were also discussed, where Dr. Gwanzenlo Tep, VAS, Veterinary & Animal Husbandry said that while considering to minimize consumption of meat, the consumers also have to choose healthy meat in the market.
