
Kohima, April 23 (MExN): The Tsiepfütsiepfhe Council, AG Colony Kohima along with GBs, sector union office bearers and youth organisation has recently conducted a verification on private encroachment on roads &footpaths, traffic and vehicle parking, sanitation particularly disposal of waste & sewage, improper drainage systems, improper water distribution systems and random connection of pipelines, improper erection of welcome gate, electricity and reliance Jio Infocom Ltd posts, and other related issues within its jurisdictions.
The Tsiepfütsiepfhe Council placed in record its appreciation and acknowledged those individuals who have donated their private lands for road and footpath widening, public utilities and other conveniences.
“It has been found during verification that corrective measures were needed for removal of illegal constructions encroaching the roads and footpaths, immediate construction and repair: roads, footpaths, drainages, additional water reservoirs, additional water distribution points, etc, relocation of welcome gate, electricity and Reliance Jio Infocom Ltd posts, etc,” the Council stated in a release received here.
In this, the Council made a fervent appeal to all landowners, concern departments, Limited, Organisations, Individuals, etc to extend fullest support and cooperation in the interest and welfare of the colony.
The Council will conduct the second phase of verification in the month of May and June 2023, according to Khotuo Belho and Vilekho Bio, chairman and general secretary respectively of the Tsiepfütsiepfhe Council.
