‘Tsiesema Basa now on the map of Capital Complex projects’

Nagaland CM graces golden jubilee of Tsiesema Basa village

Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio today said that Tsiesema Basa village has now been figured on the map of Capital Complex projects as part of state capital Kohima expansion plan.

He said this while gracing the golden jubilee celebration of Tsiesema Basa village under Northern Angami area of Kohima district. Rio encouraged the Northern Angami community to leverage their geographical advantage for economic growth through a proactive approach. Rio lauded the pioneers of Tsiesema Basa village for their farsightedness in establishing the village in 1975. Tsiesema Basa village has today grown-up to 106 households from initial period of 24 households.

He told the villagers to uphold the legacy of the pioneers who laid the groundwork for the community.

Rio also called upon the villagers to continue to maintain the spirit of oneness and peaceful coexistence.

He expressed concern over the shortage of water source in Northern Angami area. 

Rio said that he had discussion with the PHED officials recently and called for early inauguration of the Water supply project, which was reportedly completed but yet to be operationalized.

Stressing on the need to expand the horizon for a progressive society, he called the people to stay connected with the fast changing world and be part of the global village for all development.

Earlier, Rio unveiled a monolith in commemoration of Tsiesema Basa village golden jubilee celebration. He also inaugurated Tsiesema Basa village Rostrum.

Razoukhrielie Khro, Chairman, Tsiesema Basa Village unveiled a monolith which stands as a testament of Neiphiu Rio, Chief Minister of Nagaland for his unwavering support towards the people of Tsiesema Basa village, who donated and financially aided the construction of Tsiesema Basa village playground in coinciding with his 50th anniversary political career.

Earlier, Tsiesema village council chairman Khrielezo Khro shared greetings while Chüpfhü-o Khrodi shared the origin of Tsiesema Basa village.

The monolith unveiling ceremony was led by Thejao Khrodi with a prayer by Lhoukuolie Khro, Pastor TBBC and special number by Mengubei-ü Khro.

The main programme was chaired by Er Ruokuobeilie Mere while Mezhüvolie Khrabvü, associate pastor, TBCC invoked God’s blessings. The programme was compered by Khrielie Angami and Medonuo Chietsü. Khriesarüü Krotho TBBC presented special number while vote of thanks was proposed by Ruokuovolie Khro, president NDPP village unit. MLA Tseilhoutuo Rhutso, chairman DPDB Kohima and MLA Kevipodi Sophie and several other dignitaries also present at the celebration.
