Tuensang, January 18 (MExN): The three-day celebration of Tsüngkamnyu Festival of the Yimkhiung Naga at Yimkhiung Heritage Village Mündün concluded on January 17 with MLA & Chairman, DPDB Tuensang Imtichoba as the guest of honour.
Asserting that Tsüngkamnyu is a ‘festival of forgiveness,’ Imtichoba called upon the gathering to say ‘no to drugs, but yes to Tsüngkamnyu' while celebrating their festival, a DIPR report stated.
The host of the festival, S Kiusumew Yimchunger, Advisor, Fire & Emergency Service, Home Guard & Civil Defence exhorted the people not to encourage drugs but to live a drug free society.
Short speech was delivered by SP Shamator Khruosutho, invocation was proposed by Rev Fr Obed Yimkhiung, Vice Principal St Joseph College Jakhama. The other highlights were welcome address by Hanji, vice president Convenor Local committee; Tsüngkamnyu Thüshiso by Ashi & Ayin Yimkhiung; Folk Song by Leangkonger village; vote of thanks by Kinan Social & Cultural Secretary YTC & Member secretary local committee. YAA President Keyongkhum was the compere of the programme.
