Mokokchung, August 3 (MExN): The Lakhuni Ayim Asem Tsüngremmong ‘Mini Hornbill Festival’ organised in collaboration with the Department of Tourism, Government of Nagaland was held at Alongtaki village.
The festival was graced by Minister of Tourism and Higher Education, Government of Nagaland, Temjen Imna Along as the chief host. In the keynote speech, Imna Along highlighted the government’s commitment to promote cultural tourism.
The cultural segment featured a Tsüngremmong song performed by the Changdang Village Council. Short speeches were delivered by the chairman of various village councils, including Lakhuni, Japu, Lirmen, and Chungtiayimsen, each emphasizing the importance of cultural preservation and community development.A special song was presented by Imkongsenla Lkr.
Other officials present included Mhathung Yanthan MLA and Advisor for Agriculture, Kekhrie Yhome, MLA and Advisor for School Education and SCERT, Nchumbemo Lotha Secretary Department of Tourism, Veyielo Doulo Director of Tourism, and other officials from various departments.
