DIMAPUR, NOVEMBER 9 (MExN): The flag bearers for the Nagaland Team in the upcoming North Neast Olympic Games 2022 are Tsuchoi T and Zhokhoto Demo.
Tsuchoi T is from Noklak district, participating in the 5000M and 10,000M Athletics. She received the Outstanding Sportswomen Award at the Nagaland Olympic & Paralympic Games 2022 by winning 5 Gold medals in Athletics.She won Gold in the 1500m Nagaland Olympic Run, 2022. Gold Medals in 5000M, 10,000M, Bronze in 4x100m relay in the 1st North East Olympic Games 2018. She won Gold in 3000M at the East Zone 2016. She also represented Nagaland Team at the National Games, Gujarat 2022.
Zhokhoto Demo is from Phek district, participating in the Indian Round Archery. He received the Outstanding Sportsman Award at the Nagaland Olympic & Paralympic Games 2022 by winning 5 Gold medals in Archery. Won Gold in 3D Archery, Silver in Bair Bow Bamboo & Bronze in Field Archery Long Bow (28 rows) at the 2019 World Police Game and Fire at Chengdu, China. He also represented Nagaland Team in the National Games, Gujarat 2022.
A total of 285 contingents are participating in the Games. The Nagaland Team will be participating in 17 sports disciplines out of 18 Sports Disciplines of the Games.
