Tsuknungakum Jamir is the ‘Strongest Man’ in Nagaland

Tsuknungakum (Akum) Jamir today defeated reigning champion Sedevizo Keretsü to take the Nagaland’s Strongest Man title in the 6th edition of the Hornbill International Strongman and Crossfit (Men & Women) Competition held at Old NST Kohima on Thursday.

The event is part of 24th Hornbill Festival 2023 organized by Nagaland Strongman & Fitness Association (NSFA) in collaboration with Directorate of Youth Resources & Sports, Nagaland.

The competition includes truck pulling, deadlift, shoulder press, log lift, log race, farmers walk, tyre flip and Naga stone.
Jamir was awarded with a cash prize of Rs. 30,000 and citation while Keretsii received Rs 20,000.

Third place winner Zhapao Movi received a cash prize of Rs10,000.

Bisekhoto Gwirie wins fittest man title
Bisekhoto Gwirie defended his title as the fittest man in Naga Crossfit Challenge for the third time and received Rs 30,000.

Kiivemiiri Ringa and Imliyanger Aier stood 2nd and 3rd position and awarded with Rs 20,000 and Rs10,000 respectively.

The Naga Crossfit Challenge includes burpees, clean and jerk, chin up, log lift squats, dumbbell front raise, deadlift, and box jump.

Menchen wins Naga Crossfit women’s category
Menchen defended her title for the second time to win Naga Crossfit Women’s category and awarded with Rs 15,000.
Imsubenla and Luthono Resuh bagged 2nd and 3rd position and received Rs 10,000 and Rs 5000 respectively.

Mentionably, the 6th edition was powered by KC Angami (Class 1 Contractor), Pfuduolhou Kense (Class I Contractor), Dziese Zumu (PS to advisor transport & technical education, Nagaland), Neithongulie Sote (Class 1 Contractor), Zhavituo Rutso (Class I Contractor), Thejavor Kire (Sterling Group UK Managing Director), Neiketou Yhome ( Proprietor, Mes & Co), Kohima Smart City Development  Limited, Aggrandize Kohima.
