Tuensang, January 17 (MExN): Tsungkamnyo cum Mini Hornbill Festival was celebrated at Yimkhiung Heritage Village Mundun on January 16 with Advisor Youth Resources & Sports, S Keoshu Yimkhiung, as the special guest and host.
During the programme, Throngso President Yimkhiung Tribal Council delivered the welcome address, stated a DIPR report.
Speeches were delivered by DC Shamator, Y Chingyak and R Tohanba, former MLA. Significant of Tsungkamnyo was highlighted by K Lakiumong, President YGBA. Trung Thulunso presented a special item. The programme was chaired by Lakiumong, President YGOA. A cultural item was presented by the Chessore village cultural troupe.
On the occasion of Tsungkamnyo, the Yimkhiung Tribal Council awarded the Yimkhiung Outstanding Achievement Award to T Belenso for being the first Yimkhiung Scientist and being selected as Soil Scientist under India Science Technology and Innovation, Government of India and to Athrong Yimkhiung for representing India in Body building competition.
