The Department of Forest distributed solar lamps to Tsuthu Village on June 30. Tsuthu village under Kiphire district is a newly recognized village which does not have electricity connectivity.
The Forest Range Officer, Tsangli Tikhir during the distribution event stated that the solar lamps will help the villagers to great extent. He highlighted that the villagers go to the forest to collect firewood and the only alternative is kerosene lamps or candles. Therefore, the free distribution of solar lamps will also help the villagers to go for promotion of non-conventional source of energy.
The FRO also said that the success of the distribution of solar lamps to Tsuthu village is due to the initiative of Dr Sentitula IFS, DFO Tuensang and he acknowledge NGO based at Mumbai the Eco solution for extending help.
Chairman of Tsuthu village while acknowledging the department for extending help to address the suffering of the villagers also appreciated Tsangli Tikhir, FRO attached to DFO, Tuensang and Dr Sentitula and Yatendra Agarwal Founder of Mumbai based Ngo Eco solution for extending help.
