Tube well commissioned at district hospital Wokha

Wokha, April 12 (DIPR): Parliamentary Secretary for Irrigation & Flood Control, Geology & Mining, Border Affairs, Y. Patton on April 12 commissioned the new tube well at Dr. Motsuo Memorial District Hospital Wokha. The tube well was sponsored by the Governor of Nagaland Nikhil Kumar and constructed by the Department of Geology & Mining.    
Speaking during the inaugural function, Y. Patton expressed gratitude to the land owners, staffs and officials involved for their support and co-operation in successfully commissioning the project. He further appealed to the land owners to extend support in future also in order to bring about more development in the district. He also urged to strictly follow the manual operation/guideline underlined by the department for the longevity of the tube well. Tube well Handing over was done by Minister for Agriculture, Dr. Chumben Murry who was also present during the function.
It may be mentioned that the tube well was constructed at the cost of rupees 5.45 lakhs (Five lakhs forty five thousand). Director G&M Nagaland, H. K. Chishi gave a brief introduction and details of the project. The function was chaired by Additional Director, E. Kikon while vote of thanks was proposed by Medical Superintendent, Dr. Kevingullie Khro.
