National Cadet Corps (NCC) cadets of Sao Chang Government College, Tuensang, school students and other college students from Tuensang town took part in a programme organised by the 28 Assam Rifles on Monday.
One of the attractions was the first-hand information on joining Sainik School, Punglwa through the All India Sainik School entrance exam for students of classes 6 and 9. The students were given information on online registration, selection and training process, exam dates, medical exams, merit list and admission processes.
The programme which was held at Parade Ground, Tuensang also included equipment display. The objective behind it was to facilitate subject awareness among the students which would motivate them to join armed forces.
