TUENSANG, JANUARY 21 (MExN): The 35th General Annual Council of the Nagaland Police Baptist Churches Association (NPBCA) was concluded on January 21 at the Police Baptist Church in Tuensang town. 

Rev Y Imtiba Sangtam, Executive Secretary of the United Sangtam Baptist Lithroti Ashimükhong (USBLA), delivered a thought-provoking message during the evening service on January 20.

Addressing the gathering on the theme, "Experiencing God Together in Fellowshipping," Rev Sangtam emphasized the importance of deepening spiritual connections and staying rooted in the faith of Christ. He expressed concern over what he perceived as lukewarm faith among Christians today, urging a more profound fellowship with Christ for a genuine Christian experience.

The evening service was conducted by Rev Renphamo Odyuo, Pastor of PBC 7th NAP, Bhandari. Church activities were highlighted through a presentation by PBC Longleng, and Tsipsi Sangtam, Pastor of PBC 13th NAP (IR), Yajang, led a responsive reading. The United Baptist Church, Dhansiripar, added a musical touch with a special song, followed by an offering for NPBCA and an offertory prayer from Khumjong, Associate Pastor of PBC Tuensang.

The scripture passages from the Old and New Testaments were read by Peteneinou Metha, Child Education Director, PBC, 4th NAP, and Mohenchung Magh, Youth Director of PUBC, Kohima, respectively. A duet performance by PBC 8th NAP, Naltoqa was followed.

On the concluding day, the morning prayer was led by Rev Toshi Jamir, Pastor of PBC 10th NAP (IR) Zhadima. Dr H Ndang, Pastor of PBC Peren and President of NPBCA, guided the devotion service, with Rev Achu Chang, Executive Secretary of Chang Baptist Lashong Thangyen (CBLT), serving as the keynote speaker.

Rev Chang shared insights on "Experiencing God Together in Ministry," emphasizing the need for a strong fellowship with God to effectively serve as witnesses. Musical presentations were made by Tuensang Town Baptist Lashong and PBC 2nd NAP Alichen, presenting special songs and a quartet, respectively.

The day session featured a workshop on "Church Response to Substance Abuse," led by Rev Achu Chang and moderated by Tsenbemo R Ngullie, Youth Secretary of NPBCA.

In the final session of the General Annual Council, Rev Dr H A Zhimomi, Executive Secretary of NPBCA, delivered a compelling message on "Experiencing God Together in Witnessing." PBC Zunheboto showcased church activities through a PowerPoint presentation, and a group song from PBC Kiphire added a cultural touch.

The event closed with a solo performance from PBC Peren, a duet from HG, CD & SDRF Baptist Church Toluvi, and a vote of thanks from the Vice President of NPBCA. The NPBCA Staff presented the closing act, and the benediction prayer was offered by C Yiman Phom, Pastor of MCBC, Chümoukedima.
