Tuensang and Peren districts planning & development board meetings conducted

Tuensang, February 7 (MExN): The Tuensang District Planning and Development Board meeting was on February 7 at DC Conference Hall Tuensang under the Chairmanship of Lithrongla Tongpi Rutsa Deputy Commissioner and Vice Chairman Tuensang.

A DIPR report stated that the chairman thanked and appreciated all the Departments for their active participation at Republic Day Celebration. After reviewing the last month meeting minutes the house discussed and approved for setting up of District Disability Rehabilitation Centre (DDRC) at District Hospital Tuensang.

Dr Senilo Magh MO, District Hospital Tuensang highlighted that DDRC is under the initiative by Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment Government of India, and it is a centre to facilitate Comprehensive services to person with Disability in the district and its Second centre to be setup in Nagaland. 

In the meeting Power Point Presentation was given by District Fishery Department. The next meeting presentation of department activities in the district will be given by Department of Agriculture.

Peren: The Peren District Planning & Development Board meeting was held on February 7 at DC's Conference Hall, Peren under the chairmanship of DC & Vice Chairman DPDB Peren, Vineet Kumar.

The meeting started with welcome address from the Deputy Commissioner, followed by introduction of the new members, Dr Viholi, DPO and GH Ramlia (NZPO representative), a DIPR report stated. 

The board held a brief review of the decision taken in the last meeting, after which the following agendas were discussed: Road connectivity to Peren HQ and Health Check-up of all government employees. 

During the meeting, the house held a short felicitation programme for 'Girl Child Friendly Villages' under the BBBP initiative for the following villages-Tening Village, Old-Puilwa Village, Samziuram Village and Bongkolong Village. Meanwhile, the house also felicitated 2 'Start-up' from Peren District on being selected among the Top 25 start-ups in the Pre-Incubation Category under the Northeast Entrepreneurship Development Programme (NEEDP) Gracious Handloom Society, Ahthibung and Ngurie Organic Private Limited, Jalukie 

In the meeting, the department of Sericulture and Food & Civil Supplies gave a PowerPoint presentation of their departmental activities and programmes. For the next meeting, DC has entrusted Veterinary & Animal Husbandry and Agriculture Department to present PowerPoint presentation.
