Tuensang, July 12 (MExN): The Tuensang District Planning & Development Board conducted its monthly meeting under the chairmanship of MLA & Chairman DPDB Tuensang, Lima Onen Chang at DC conference hall, Tuensang on July 12.
After reviewing the last meeting minutes, the board discussed on the agenda for Dr T Ao Trophy to be held at Tuensang from September 16 to 27, where MLA and General Secretary of Nagaland Football Association, Benei Lamthiu, highlighted on sports as a career and initiatives of the government to promote youth in sports. He appealed to the board to take the platform in hosting the trophy to show case the cultural and beauty of Tuensang.
The house also discussed on the sinking zone at Phenjang Colony where Nodal Officer, NSDMA, Temsuwangshi Jamir informed that the department had verified the area and added that a huge area has been affected, including over 200 households. He also said that the present funds from the Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority was not enough to meet the demands of the sinking area and added that it will take up to the higher authority with ground report from central team during the meeting at Kohima.
The house approved and recommended for society registration of Thimlak Farming Society C- khel; up gradation of SDIO to APRO Office Noksen; Recognization of Trumzong Village under EAC Chare; Construction of New Circular road from St. John- B via Anyangngebou colony via Nyaklangbou to Hakusangb ward and Circular road from PWD Rest House St. John- B via Sipong Colony and Kamchu Colony. The board also approved the LADP 2024-2025 and Iconic Scheme for 51 Noksen A/C, 52 Longkhim-Chare A/C, 53 Tuensang Sadar 1 A/C and 54 Tuensang Sadarll A/C.
EE PWD (R&B), Er Thongpang Chongshen was welcomed as a new member of the Tuensang DPDB during the meeting.
