Tuensang DLCC meeting focuses on online birth and death records

Tuensang, October 8 (MExN): District Level Coordination Committee meeting for Registration of Births &Deaths was held on October 8 under the Chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner & Chairman DLCC Tuensang, Lithrongla Tongpi Rutsa, NCS held at  the office of the Deputy Commissioner, Tuensang. 

As per the DIPR report, during the meeting, the Committee deliberated as to how awareness programme should be conducted for NGOs and voluntary organizations such as village Council Chairmen, Head GBs, Pastors, Head Teachers and Tribal Unions for an effective implementation of Civil Registration system and to spread the benefits of Registration of Births & Deaths in the District. It was also pointed out that proper training should be imparted to Medical staff on Medical Certificate for Causes of Death.

Since the Civil Registration System is changed or upgraded to online basis, the Rural Registration units should be given training for online Registrations services in all the areas for the benefits of all. Advertisements should also be released in leading newspapers on important occasions like Children's Day and World population Day to issue free Birth Certificates to Children 2 years and below. It was also deliberated that Shamator and Noklak districts should have their separate Districts Portals to ensure smooth implementation of Civil Registration system conveniently for the service of the people.
