
Tuensang, September 8 (MExN): The Tuensang District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) held its September meeting on Thursday under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner and Vice Chairman of DPDB, Lithrongla Tongpi Rutsa, at the DC’s conference hall.
The meeting opened with a review of the minutes from the previous session, followed by discussions on key upcoming events, including the Dr. T. Ao Trophy cum social work scheduled for September 13.
Thsapong Sangtam, District Welfare Officer and member secretary of the Planning Committee for the tournament, provided an overview of the preparations.
Deputy Commissioner Rutsa urged the board members to collaborate for the success of the tournament, which is being hosted in Eastern Nagaland for the first time, emphasizing the importance of making it a memorable event.
In addition, the board recommended the establishment of a Multi-Disciplinary Institute at Sao Chang College, Tuensang, and approved the formation of the Verification Committee for the Local Area Development Programme (LADP) 2024.
The meeting also featured a presentation of departmental activities by the Soil and Water Conservation department, and new members posted to the district were formally welcomed by the board.
