Tuensang DPDB discusses Rural Self Employment Training Institute

Tuensang, August 6 (MExN): The Tuensang District Planning and Development (DPDB) meeting was held at DC’s Conference Hall, Tuensang on August 6. The meeting was chaired by Kumar Ramnikant IAS, Vice Chairman DPDB and DC Tuensang and attended by MLA & Chairman, Tuensang DPDB, Muthingnyuba Sangtam.

As per a DIPR report, the members were enlightened on the project Rural Self Employment Training Institute (RSETI) by the SBI Bank Manager Tuensang, its establishment procedures, role of State Government, building infrastructure and staff composition. Regarding RSETI, Chairman DPDB also encouraged writing to State Level Banners for joint efforts of the forum members, and to forward to the concerned authority for the establishment for Tuensang district.

The members also discussed on the agenda of Longkhim Chari Goan Buras Union, proposal for Sub-Divisional Office of Horticulture, Soil & Water Conservation, Power and PHE Departments. The Chairman, DPDB is of the view that Longkhim ADC HQ, being the oldest ADC HQ in the State “it is a necessity for the State as well as the district for smooth functioning of the government departments to ensure welfare of the people of the area.”

Proposal for the upgradation of Police Outpost Chari to full-fledged Police Station and PHC Chari to CHC Chari was also discussed. The departments were also asked to write a report on the proposal and forward to higher authority for approval.

The members of the forum also discussed on the budgeting of the forthcoming Dr T Ao Trophy at Tuensang.  Representative of TDFA also highlighted the proposed budget for hosting the trophy. Deputy Commissioner, Tuensang also requested the members of the forum to be co-operative for the upcoming event.

Regarding Har Ghar Tiranga campaign to mark the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, the DC encouraged all the offices, staff and public to hoist the Indian National Flag from August 13 to 15. All the urban and rural houses are to hoist the flag for which officers were assigned to supervise respectively. Work distribution for the forthcoming Independence Day was also discussed.
