Tuensang motorcyclist joins fight to stop violence against women

Tuensang, December 10 (MExN): The Sakhi-One Stop Centre & Mahila Shakti Kendra organized a motor cycle rally in collaboration with Frontier Royal Enfield En-Blok (FREE) club as an awareness campaign for violence against women at Parade Ground, Tuensang on December 10.

The rally was organized with the theme “Leave no one behind, end violence against women and girls”. 

Deputy Commissioner Tuensang, Kumar Ramnikant IAS flagged off the rally. Speaking on the occasion DC said whether we like it or not violence does exist in a society in human society and spreading messages against the violence done is very important. He also encouraged the club members to spread the message everywhere they go.

Sakhi One Stop Centre District Administrator, Chulongla said that domestic violence is not to be taken as family problems or normal but it is a crime. She also said that to end the violence against women it should start at home and it should be protected. Spreading of message to end the violence should not end today but rather should it should be kept spreading, she added.
