Tuensang, September 12 (MExN): District Level Convergence Committee for Poshan held a meeting at DC Conference Hall Tuensang on September 11. The meeting was chaired by Deputy Commissioner Tuensang, Kumar Ramnikant.
The meeting discussed on Poshan Maah 2020 District Action plans as follows:
• September 14: Local leaders and NGOs meeting which will be focusing on removal of stigma with regard to COVID 19, obtaining pledges and assures for practices of good nutrition, support of Poshan Abhiyaan, ICDS, SW and support of Kitchen Garden.
• September 17: basing on the theme ‘Nutrition’ there will be a cooking competition where preparation of nutritious food from locally available fruits and vegetables and documentation of winning recipe.
• September 21: Mother’s meeting
• September 25: Cleanliness drive
• September 28: Programme on adolescent girls.
DC Tuensang said that every converging department should take a responsible role to make things happen in reality. The meeting also agreed to have an anemia camp throughout the district and to focus on implementing the nutria-garden as the theme of the Poshan states.
