Tug of war competition in traditional Naga style

The Department of Youth Resources & Sports organised tug of war competition in traditional Naga style for 18 cultural Troupe at the main arena of Naga Heritage Village Kisama during the ongoing 25th Edition of Hornbill Festival on December 5.

In Male category, Angami tribe bagged the champion title while Garo and Konyak stood 2nd and 3rd position respectively.

In Women category, Angami defeated Sangtam in finals to emerge the champion title. Sangtam and Kachari stood 2nd and 3rd position respectively. The winning teams walked away with Rs 25000 cash prizes, runners up with Rs 15000 and the third prize with Rs 10000 each.
