Tuophezou Baptist Kehouko attains 75 years

Our Correspondent Tuophema | February 6   The 75th year celebration of Tuophezou Baptist Kehouko got underway today at Tuophe Basa, about 41 km away from state’s capital Kohima.   Rev. Dr. Rachiilie Vihienuo, pastor Union Baptist Church Kohima in his message complimented Tuophezou Baptist Kehouko for attaining 75 glorious years and called upon them to continue to spread the message of gospel to other places as well.  

He said that jubilee is a time for rejoice, sharing, and also a time to forgive and forget any misdeed in the past. Rev. Dr. Vihienuo called upon the believers to take the celebration of 75th years Christianity as an opportune platform to develop better understanding and live in unison. He also prayed to Almighty to bless the Tuophema community abundantly and take them forward in the different fields.   Earlier, a monolith in commemoration of 75th years of Tuophezou Baptist Kehouko was unveiled by Rev. Zapovil Sophie, president Angami Baptist Church Council (ABCC) while Rev. Rüdilhou Rio, pastor Baptist Church Botsa prayed for the celebration conference hall before the congregation enter into the hall.   Rev. Soneiu Metha, pastor Baptist Church Chiechama released the souvenir while Bible reading and prayer was pronounced by Rev. Zakiebeinyii, pastor Jotsoma Baptist Church.   The inaugural service was led by Gelhou Seyie, pastor Tuophema Baptist Church while organizing committee chairman Pfuzeso Seyie delivered welcome address. BKK choir, 75 choir and Visenuo Rio presented special numbers and enthralled the congregation.   Lok Sabha MP Neiphiu Rio also present at the inaugural service.  “It is a significant occasion and I thank and praise God Almighty for enabling us to be a part of this joyous occasion. It is a time to reflect on the journey traversed thus far to give glory to God for His love and faithfulness, and to recommit ourselves, our village and our society for the great calling of reaching the gospel to the unreached regions of the world,” penned Neiphiu Rio in a souvenir.   Later, Rüdilhou Rio, pastor Baptist Church Botsa spoke at the evening service. The service was led by Neivituo Sanchu, pastor, Baptist Church Tuophe Basa.   Meanwhile, day two (February 7) programme will take place from 9:30 AM onwards. Dr. V. Atsei Dolie, executive director ABCC will deliver a message. Lok Sabha MP Neiphiu Rio will also share greetings.
