Dimapur, June 8 (MExN): During the routine MVCP duty of the Excise Narcotic Cell at Patkai Bridge Highway area, Chümoukedima on June 5, the duty party headed by AIE Atilo Kent intercepted a scooty two-wheeler. Upon checking the storage cavity, the duty party found 2100 capsules of Spasmo Proxyvon (Sampex+brand). ‘Immediately the rider and the pillion of the scooty, namely Kangzangpeu and Heibamzeung both of Ngwalwa Village, Peren were arrested and booked under the relevant sections of NDPS Act 1985. The case is now under active investigation,’ informed a press release issued by S Phyobemo Kikon, DY Commissioner of Excise (NC) Dimapur. “The effort of the duty party is highly commendable for their relentless effort in effecting the seizure in combating the dreaded drugs menace and illegal trafficking,” Kikon added.
