Two-day module on ‘Leadership Skills’ underway for engineers

Kohima, August 1 (MExN): The Administrative Training Institute (ATI), Kohima started a two-day module on ‘Leadership Skills’ for engineers on August 1. Resource persons are from IBIS Solutions, Management & Training Consultations Group, Kolkata.  

Speaking at the inaugural, L. Youdang Jamir, Additional Director (Training) lamented the lack of quality leadership in the State and encouraged the participants to take the benefit of the programme organized by the ATI.  

Longzochang, Deputy Chief Engineer, NPWD thanked the ATI for organizing the programme and said that the participants are looking forward to learning new things from the interaction with the resource persons.  

Rajib Bal, Administrative Head of IBIS Solutions introduced the participants to the course contents. He also mentioned that IBIS Solutions is associated with all the ATIs in the North East and also with PSUs like NEPCO.  

According to a press release, the programme is being conducted to achieve the guidelines prescribed in the State Training Policy. As per the guidelines, every department is required to develop Cadre Training Plans (CTP); training and development of competencies of individuals should be linked to their career progression and ensure this by suitably amending service rules/issuing administrative instructions.  

The programme, coordinated by Er. N. Moa Longkumer, Deputy Director, is being organized in four batches starting with engineers (August 1 and 2), doctors (August 4 and 5), NSS (August 7 and 8), and principals and headmasters (August 10 and 11).
