Kohima, June 18 (MExN): Kohima Police have arrested two persons following an FIR lodged at North P.S Kohima by Daklane Youth Social Organization (DYSO) against two domestic thieves operating in their locality. According to a press release from SDPO/PRO (South), Kohima Police, a regular case vide Kohima North PS case No. 0047/2016 U/S 380/34 IPC has been registered against the two arrested persons identified as Vepa Rhakho (31) and Rukuto Vero (26).
Stolen vehicle recovered
In another incident, Kohima Police personnel manning Phesama check gate intercepted one Tata Sumo Victa bearing registration No. NL-04C-2622, Engine No. 479SPTC43FYY628648 and Chassis No. MAT446245B9G208. During verification, it was found that the engine number engraved in the vehicle did not tally with the one in the Smart Card (R.C Book), the PRO said. Accordingly, the owner of the vehicle identified as Nikato Chishi (29) was taken into police custody and a regular case vide Kohima South PS Case No 0034/16 U/S 379/471 IPC registered against him for conducting further investigation.
